Recycling
Since 2017, we’ve recycled more than 8,500 tons of building materials — that’s the weight of 700 school buses.
More than 12.5 million pounds of paper have been recycled since 2011.
In 2019, Corporate HQ recycled nearly 940 tons of waste – 12 times the weight of the Space Shuttle.
Energy savings
More than 80 percent of our large facilities have an Energy Star score above 75.
Plastic reduction
Avoiding the use of 2.3 million bottles or the equivalent of over 100,000 pounds of plastic each year.
Research
We conduct independent research and work with several organizations to better understand the impacts of weather on building materials and structures.
State Farm continues to look for opportunities to help customers manage the risks associated with increased weather losses. Through our research, we can help establish industry and governmental safety standards.
We also provide consumers with a collection of articles and tips to help protect their family, home, cars and future through Simple Insights® from State Farm.
